Disney+ Original Cheaper by the Dozen Trailer Released

Remember the Bakers from the 2003 Cheaper by the Dozen with Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt? You know, American football family, 12 kids, lots of chaos? Well this is kind of like it but definitely isn’t it.

Disney+ has done a reboot that streams exclusively on March 18 starring Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff as the parents in a blended family of 12. In this new film they only have 10 kids (that we know of per the trailer) but I wonder if perhaps she’ll end up with twins somehow like the original.

Making this a blended family kind of reminds me of the blended family in Yours, Mine, and Ours, because the original Bakers had 12 biological kids. But I’m excited regardless because my kids grew up watching the original, being a large family ourselves in modern times, it was pretty relatable! I swear people asking if I had a daycare or if they were really all of our kids got old!

As a multicultural family, I really love that there is representation of interracial marriage in this film. I wonder if we will see any of those challenges while we are taken on their journey through the daily antics and stigma of being a large family while running their family business.

I know our family will be streaming this, the trailer looks like it will have a lot of action and nonsense that these kids are getting into; it’s gonna be a perfect movie night for all ages!

Check out the trailer and tell me what you think!
